Aboriginal Flag Colours and Australia Map Necklace

This Australian map pendant is finished in antique (not shiny) gold and then attached to a link showcasing faceted crystal beads in the colours of the aboriginal flag (see last photo).

The pendant is attached to a solid brass cable chain measuring 45cm, 18"  in length and closing with a spring ring clasp. Total length of the pendant is 6cm, 2 1/2 inches, all metal is finished with gold plating.

* The symbolic meaning of the flag colours (as stated by Harold Thomas) is: Black – represents the Aboriginal people of Australia. Yellow circle – represents the Sun, the giver of life and protector. Red – represents the red earth, the red ochre used in ceremonies and Aboriginal peoples' spiritual relation to the land.
