Aztec Calendar, Labradorite, Rhodochrosite and Apatite Necklace

A connection to the past with modern accessories.

This circular pendant shows a highly detailed Aztec calendar. It is connected to the stainless steel box chain via a link with lovely gemstone beads: labradorite, rhodochrosite and apatite.

The necklace measures 50cm in length and closes with a lobster claw clasp. I attached a small dragonfly charm next to the clasp.

Total length of the pendant is 7.5cm.

The Aztec calendar is the calendar system that was used by the Aztecs as well as other Pre-Columbian peoples of central Mexico. It is one of the Mesoamerican calendars, sharing the basic structure of calendars from throughout ancient Mesoamerica.
