Gemstone galore: Not only will you get fabulous purple micro faceted amethyst rondelles and golden citrine smooth wheels, you will also have three beautiful rectangular, faceted ametrine slabs.
Ametrine is the name for a rare quartz variety, where both colours - purple and yellow - are mixed together into the one gemstone. Denoting the mix of amethyst and citrine, the mixed stone is called ametrine.
Now, a lot of ametrine on the market is in fact a mix of amethyst beads and citrine beads on the one strand, but that is of course not really ametrine. The super high quality ametrine gems have the two colors clearly separated, but in bead quality, we find mostly a close mix of the colors which results in warm/yellowish amethyst and dark, purplish citrine.
The gemstones in this necklace are definitely ametrine, though a paler variety to keep things affordable.
I have also added faceted citrine coins and little sterling lined daisy spacer beads. The clasp is a solid sterling lobster claw clasp with more amethyst to both sides.
Total length of this necklace is 42cm.
