More info

These wonderful glass cabs are indeed from the 1950s. The glass is made by fusing clear glass to a yellow and white coloured opaque bottom to create a soft translucent glow. Called "givre" glass from the french word for frost, it makes sense once you see the effect, especially when looking from the side (photo 3). These were made in the Czech Republic.

I have set the glass jewels onto simple antiqued bronze settings and attached to secure lever back ear wires. Other metal and setting options are available, please contact me.

Total length is 35mm, 1 1/2 inches.
