More info

This is a larger, bohemian style necklace. I combined some more un-usual gemstones for this one.

The neck part of this piece consists of twisted Unakite beads.

Unakite is granite and is formed from the mixture of pink feldspar, quartz and green epidote. It is very compact and hard gemstone.

The gemstone was named after the Unaka Mountains, located in the south-eastern part of the US, because it was first discovered near these mountains.

The center part of the necklace starts with two large, carved Peach Aventurine beads which are followed by a sharp, faceted black Tourmaline nugget. I attached a beautiful shiny Unakite circle to the Tourmaline nugget via a link with an interesting pebbled Copper bead.

The necklace closes with a solid hook clasp to which I attached a cute, hand carved Unakite leaf.

Total length of the necklace is 50cm, 20" and the pendant adds another 10cm, 4".

All metal is solid, oxidised copper, this necklace weighs a substantial 100 grams.
