The Owyhee opal I chose for this necklace has a saturated, light blue colour which is entirely natural (a little less bright than the photos).

I wire wrapped the stone with solid copper wire and attached it to a matching, slim line chain which closes with a lobster claw clasp.

Two links with small Czech glass beads in matching colours frame the clasp.

Total length of the necklace is 45cm (18"), the pendant measures 2.5cm including ring.

All metal is solid copper and copper tone. Copper will oxidize (get darker) over time, just like sterling silver or brass.

Owyhee opal is a rich, pale blue form of common opal, mined near the sacred Indian springs at Owyhee, Oregon USA.
