For this necklace, I threaded a handsome Hamsa hand charm onto a sleek ball chain and added a wonderful, checkerboard faceted golden AAA quality Citrine as well as a deep black Onyx, framed by a bead cap and a faceted Czech glass bead.
The Hamsa symbol is found in several cultures throughout the Middle East and Northern Africa. It is believed to be a symbol of protection; the symmetrical hand with five fingers also symbolises the power of the number five.
The hand, particularly the open right hand, is a sign of protection that also represents blessings, power and strength, and is seen as potent in deflecting the evil eye.
Total length of the Hamsa hand charm is 25mm, total length of the necklace is 40cm.
All metal is gunmetal finished.
