More info

This is a Norse style shoulder brooch created from domed shield-like silver plated disks, with a floral baroque design on their face.

Diameter is 4.6cm, brooch has a simple pin back.

This viking style brooch is ideal for women's historical reenactment attire of the Viking era.

Two brooches could be used to attach strands of cascade treasure necklaces to an outfit's apron for a graceful drape across the bodice.

The last photo is an example only.

Viking women of higher status typically wore ornate brooches to fasten their outer garment (apron) which was held up by straps over the shoulders. These brooches were decorated by a cascade of beaded strands between them and are often found in women's graves and art of the Viking period.
